Switzerland 1, Cameroon 0

Brel Emboloborn in Cameroon, scored the winning goal for Switzerland against indomitable lions on Thursday. Out of respect, he did not celebrate his goal.

Uruguay 0, South Korea 0

There were goalless draws in the first round of the group stage matches – four to be exact – but none of them went as smoothly as Uruguay-South Korea. None of the teams scored on goal. However, both teams have scored points, which puts them in an advantageous position ahead of the last two matches of the group stage.

Portugal 3, Ghana 2

Cristiano Ronaldo was a success for Portugal in their first game of the tournament and his teammates responded in kind by scoring two more goals and delaying a late comeback from Ghana. Portugal are currently at the top of the group and if they play consistently like they did on Thursday, there is no reason to believe that they will fall from this place.
