- Users can also find, create and collect utility NFTs.
Utilities platform NFT Tropee today announced it has raised €5 million in a seed round led by Tioga Capital.
The round, which ended in August, featured Laurence Hukulak, co-lead of NFT aggregator Gem, which was acquired by OpenSea; Thibaut Lonet, CEO and co-founder of Exclusible, which also raised $5 million under Tioga Capital; The Sandbox co-founder and COO Sebastian Borge; and Grégoire le Jeune.
Tropee helps creators provide post-mint features, also known as utilities, to NFT holders. The platform is designed to simplify the process of implementing NFT using utilities. The new funding will be used to further develop the platform and expand the Tropee team.
The free, no-code platform allows creators to choose from pre-built utilities ranging from merchandise and events to discounts, whitelisting, sweepstakes, exclusive giveaways, videos, and private links for NFT holders. They can also segment their holders based on the attributes and behavior of the NFT in order to provide appropriate utility to the right holders.
Tropee, founded last May, has already enabled brands such as Frederique Constant, 20 Mint, NFT Paris, Rug Radio, G-Star RAW and Christian Lacroix to create and provide digital and physical utilities to their NFT holders.
In addition to helping creators deliver utilities, anyone in the NFT community can quickly and easily find, create, and build NFT utilities. The platform also provides a dashboard where creators can get an overview of their utility campaigns.
“Tropee aims to be community-based – we are building the foundations of an ecosystem focused on utilities, physical and/or digital,” said Guillaume Lestrade, co-founder of Tropee.
François Male, co-founder of Tropee, added: “We strongly believe that the next phase of the NFT industry will see NFT go beyond ‘just’ a JPEG or a piece of art. We are excited to be at the forefront of this market revolution – helping creators keep their collections dynamic and engaging, and helping holders get more out of their tokens.”
Tropee currently supports Ethereum and Polygon but is working on adding other blockchains.
