Cyberpunk 2077paid extension

many slandered Cyberpunk 2077 back in the news after CD Projekt Red announced to GamesRadar that the game’s upcoming expansion Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Freedom which will bring back Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand will really be worth the money. The only reason fans could think otherwise is because most of the downloadable content for their latest game, The Witcher 3: Wild Huntwas free for anyone who purchased the game.

Unfortunately, but somewhat fair, CD Projekt Red compares this extension to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Blood and Wine which was one of the few paid expansions for this game. The cost of the game will no doubt match the size of the expansion, so let’s hope they provide a deep expansion that doesn’t have the bugs that the game had when it launched.

Sony filed a patent in 2021 that was only recently made public and the patent was about implementing blockchain technology with some NFTs thrown in for good measure. The patent compares the use of blockchain technology to identify unique and non-fungible digital collectibles to collecting a signed baseball hit by Babe Ruth. Of course, this is just a patent, and game companies will always invest in new ideas, even if they don’t pan out.

It could also be related to the PlayStation Stars rewards program that launched earlier this year, but PlayStation has publicly stated that their program has nothing to do with NFT. The idea behind the patent may have been the seed that launched PlayStation Stars, but the NFT’s point of view could be abandoned once they saw the strong majority backlash against the technology. Let’s hope the patent that sees the light of day means the PlayStation isn’t getting any closer to this technology anytime soon.
