Blockchain Technological Innovation Forum Held in Chengdu

CHENGDU, China, November 23, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — A forum dedicated to innovation and development of blockchain technology was held in Chengducapital Southwest China Sichuan province, on Nov 21.

The Blockchain Innovation and Development Forum, sponsored by the Chengdu Municipal Government, has become a key part of the 2022 Chengdu Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Exhibition and the second International Blockchain Innovative Application Exhibition. It has attracted academics, experts, scientists and industry practitioners to share ideas and latest practices on the future development of blockchain technology.

Jiang Changjun, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, stressed that it is necessary to speed up the construction of new infrastructure and artificial intelligence infrastructure in order to promote the development of the digital economy.

Li Jie, director of the blockchain research center at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, believes that blockchain has led to a credit revolution. He said that the combination of big data and blockchain technology will contribute to the qualitative development of the digital economy.

Zhang Xiaosong, professor at the University of Electronic Science and Technology China, said that blockchain technology will deepen the integration of digital technology and the real economy. This will play an increasingly important role in reducing the costs of the real economy, improving the coordination of production chains and building a fair industrial environment.

The Blockchain Branch of the China Institute of Electronics, along with five partners, signed a cooperation agreement to jointly build a training base for technical personnel with a focus on blockchain technology in Chengdu. This will allow Chengdu accelerate the construction of a national comprehensive pilot city for blockchain innovation and application.

The technical standard called Blockchain, smart contract, formal design and verification method (T/CIE130-2022)proposed by the Blockchain Branch of the China Institute of Electronics and developed by Beihang University was also presented on the forum.

Hu KaiProfessor of Beihang University, said that the creation of a standard should make the process of developing and validating smart contracts based on blockchain technology more standardized, convenient and efficient.

Statistics show that by the end of 2021, the number of blockchain-related businesses in China exceeded 121,000 people, of which almost 8,000 were based in Chengduchongqing region. That is why a technical requirements guide for the blockchain industry for this region has been released.

In addition, to help lay a solid foundation for blockchain security, the forum has created the Blockchain Security and Applications Alliance.
